Grant Morrison (born January 31, 1960) is a Scottish comic book writer and artist. He is best-known for his nonlinear narratives and counter-cultural leanings.

He is known to revamp various classic characters, relaunching them successfully (Animal Man, Doom Patrol, JLA and New X-Men, among others). Usually he combines personal works destined to a minority public (generally for the imprint Vertigo), with his works with famous and iconic characters, like Arkham Asylum, a Batman graphic novel and one of his more acclaimed works. In other fields, he has been awarded by his stageplays. He has also become involved in screenwriting and has written numerous scripts and treatments, like Sleepless Knights, and the adaptation of his previous work, WE3. In addition, he has realised the script of several videogames like Area 51, Predator: Concrete Jungle and Battlestar Galactica.
